Moving from aus to us

Hey, has anyone here made a long-distance move for a feedist partner?

Thanks in advance x

Don't do it in my opinion. Don't know your political leanings in your native country, but the U.S. is favoring Rome and nationalism currently, via too many citizens and government officials. If I didn't have certain restrictions/barriers I would have left already. Cheers.

Previously, I did leave a comment here but I didn't like how it was worded so I will start all over.

Eh, every country is going to have it's flaws. The politics suck over here but I wouldn't let that deter you from visiting here. You may never know if you try. Out of curiosity, how long have you guys been together?

Finding work (that isn't grunt work) is tough as usual in the US. You might have it easier if you know someone or have a degree/experience though. As for visas I honestly have no expertise on that. I know it took some of my Filipino relatives half a decade to finally get here. My grandma on the other hand it was way longer. They did have a sponsor which helped.

You should talk to your State department first. Tell them your plans, if you’re going to work or not (even remotely for a current employer), and how long you plan to stay if it’s going to be more than a short vacation. They might tell you to stay the hell away from the US right now. Or maybe not. But that’s who to talk to. You’ll need to for a visa regardless.
